Our Farm

Planting Seeds of Hope is situated on 46 acres of organic farmland. It is alive with wildflowers, hiking trails, medicine gardens, a young forest, orchards and a one-acre wetland. PSOH is a space where visitors can enjoy the colours, sights and sounds of an ever-changing landscape, while learning about ecology, conservation, and restoration from a child’s perspective. Our land offers visitors the opportunity to engage with the natural world in ways that are personally meaningful.

What makes our land truly unique is that the landscape is a reflection of the hopes and dreams of hundreds of local children, who believe that their actions and ideas can make a difference in our world. Visitors leave the land inspired by the love and care that local children continue to share with the land. Whether you are a parent wanting to show your own children the positive impact they can have in the world, or you simply want to spend an afternoon in a natural setting, your time on the land will leave you feeling lighter and more inspired than when you first arrived.

Planting Seeds of Hope has created a large indoor learning environment that easily accommodates the needs of visiting groups. Two large, south-facing windows overlook the children’s fruit orchard and garden area, allowing beautiful natural light to fill the room. The rustic, open space can easily transform into an indoor classroom for young children, a gathering area for staff trainings, or a studio for meditation, yoga or quiet reflection.

The walls of the building are decorated with photographs and artwork of young children engaging with the natural world. The indoor setting highlights the inspiring insights, actions and wisdom of our youth, as they immerse themselves in the natural beauty just beyond the walls of the building.
